Watches are rarely certified by the COSC (Swiss Official Institute for Chronometer Control). This certificate is only issued for parts that can guarantee perfect isochronism for a certain time and in certain positions; in fact, its ability to tell time correctly, consistently and accurately, within the strict limits imposed by an ISO standard. The COSC is an independent Swiss organization that only issues its chronometer certificates for these pieces after the watches have been subjected to extensive testing over several days. COSC certified pieces form an elite, a class of their own, intended for collectors for whom “Swiss precision” is an everyday necessity. The Highlife Automatic COSC was developed especially for them.
